In order to determine the legitimacy of an article or source, a great strategy is to use another source to fact check your source. There are people who are paid to do this very task and these people are called fact checkers. Many newspapers, magazines, and journals employ fact checkers to determine if something is true before they print it! Other publications may skip this step. That is why it's important to know how to do it yourself as well.
