10 Credit Interdisciplinary Studies Course

We will explore the art, philosophy and revolutions of East Asia: China, Korea, and Japan. Through historical documents, cinema, and fiction, we will examine multiple perspectives such as how Confucianism, Buddhism and native religions were used to both enlighten and to rule over the common people. We will also discover the continued life of these cultures in Seattle through optional field trips.
