This guide contains information regarding the Muslim celebrations of Ramadan and Eid.

Ramadan & Eid ul-Fitr

The holy month of Ramadan this year (2020) starts on April 23rd and runs through May 23rd, ending with the celecration of Eid ul-Fitr on May 24th.   According to a Pew Research study in 2017, there are approximately 3.45 million Muslims living in the United States.  That means that many of your friends, family, neighbors, classmates, and instructors are celebrating their faith right now with various rituals and practices.  This guide will help you learn about Ramadan and the Muslim faith, and help you be supportive of our Muslim community members during this holy month.

For those in our Muslim community, check out the resources below for groups in the Puget Sound region, as well as ideas on how to celebrate Ramadan at a distance.
