The Ray Howard Library, Theater/Drama, and Communications Studies presents...
Production in June 2021
The Origins Project was inspired by the book Papers: Stories by Undocumented Youth, a collection of true stories from immigrant youths aged 10-32 about their experiences coming to America and living in America. The Origins Project will be a collection of true stories about the immigrant experience in the form monologues, scenes, skits, interviews, short-stories, and/or interviews about the immigrant experience. The content will be created and performed by Shoreline Community College students.
This project will live-streamed on YouTube through the Ray Howard Library's YouTube channel. Planning will begin during winter quarter 2021. Production is set for spring quarter, June 2021.
We are looking for true stories of the immigration experience that can be expressed in the form of scenes, skits, monologues, poems, short-stories, or interviews. And we need writers and performers to bring those stories to the screen!
