An extensive resource list of mostly non-government organizations in the Puget Sound area supporting OneAmerica's mission to advance the fundamental principles of democracy and justice through building power in immigrant communities, in collaboration with key allies. Initially named Hate Free Zone, the organization was founded immediately after September 11, 2001 to address the backlash in a post 9/11 world against immigrant communities of color, primarily Muslims, Arab Americans, East Africans, and South Asians.”

Designed to help undocumented students and educator allies work with their institutions to increase the resources and support systems available to undocumented students.

“Our Citizenship & Immigration services program provides application and fee waiver assistance to eligible immigrants and refugees that want to become U.S. citizens. We offer bilingual and English Citizenship classes, taught by experienced instructors throughout King County, for individuals that need assistance in preparing for their citizenship exam. We work with clients in group workshops, and one-on-one, to complete their applications. We also offer ESL classes, in partnership with Seattle Central College, and Talk Time for people who need to improve their English before submitting their application. These services are free, or available at low cost, to eligible applicants.”

The IRC works with government bodies, civil society actors, and local volunteers to help refugees, asylees, victims of human trafficking, survivors of torture, and other immigrants translate their past experiences into assets that are valuable to their new communities in the United States.

Multicultural Community Services (MCS), a program of LCSNW, is contracted with the U.S Department of State to help refugees rebuild their homes and their lives. Since 1975, MCS has resettled over 35,000 refugees from all over the world, helping them become self-sufficient and integrated into the culture and community of King, Snohomish and Pierce Counties.

ReWA advocates for social justice, public policy changes, and equal access to services while respecting cultural values and the right to self-determination.” ReWA serves thousands of refugees and immigrants each year through our bilingual and bicultural programs.
Our clients come from over 70 countries from around the globe, including Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

“World Relief Seattle has worked since 1979 to empower the local church to serve refugees and immigrants in the Greater Seattle Area. Originally founded to care for those fleeing war in Southeast Asia, we have since grown to resettle refugees from almost 50 countries. We are encouraged by the many churches, businesses, and individuals who use their resources and ingenuity to enhance the lives of refugees and immigrants throughout Western Washington.”

Founded in 1994, Casa Latina is a local organization seeking to empower "low-wage Latino immigrants to move from economic insecurity to economic prosperity and to lift their voices to take action around public policy issues that affect them."
