As an AANAPISI grant recipient, Shoreline created the Asian & Pacific Islander (API) Student Center to be a centralized gathering place where all students, particularly Asian and Pacific Islander students, could receive culturally relevant and student-centered academic advising, peer mentoring, cultural programming, and access to student success resources.
Located in Building 1300, Room 1305 students are welcome to visit, meet with staff, and hang out in the API Student Center Monday-Thursday from 10am-5pm.
The API Student Center is a one-stop location to get your Shoreline questions answered, as well as a space to meet, collaborate, and grow. Here are a few of the services offered at the Center:
Space and opportunity to build a support network among fellow API community on campus
Full-time staff available to support you and provide advising regarding academics, financial aid, and campus life
Informative and cultural quarterly workshops, socials, and events
Admission and Financial Aid application assistance
Designated Peer Tutors who specialize in Math and Writing
Navigation and referral to Shoreline and community resources
Campus life guidance through peer mentoring
A home base to hang out, use computers, print for free, eat, and meet with friends!
The API Student Center staff can help you plan and shape your undergraduate experience at Shoreline.
The Center's dedicated academic advisor, Tasha Nālei Jugas, can assist students with their academic goals including planning course schedules, assist with career exploration, completing college and financial aid applications, as well as personal issues.
The Center's support staff can assist you in navigating campus life and can connect you to personal and academic resources as you pursue your studies.

Wiki (or 'quick' in the Hawaiian language) Wednesday in-person drop-in advising sessions are a great opportunity to ask quick questions.
The API Student Center's academic advisor, Tasha Nālei Jugas, provides 10-minute advising sessions every Wednesday from 10am – 12pm and 12:30pm – 2:30pm, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Sign up for the Wiki Wednesday sessions using the kiosk in the Center.
All other weekdays, other API Center staff and peer mentors are available during the Center's operating hours to assist students.
