About the Library: Rules and More

This is a combination of library rules and campus guidelines that are enforced in the library.

Cell Phone Rules

The SCC Library recognizes the need for its users to communicate with family, friends and colleagues especially as more courses involve group work and Internet usage. As a result, the library provides spaces appropriate for group learning and for silent study. Low level cell phone conversations are allowed on the main floor of the library. No cell phones are allowed in the Library Sanctuary or areas designated with "no cell phone" signs.

However, upon entering the building, we would appreciate it if you would please set your phone to ring in "silent" mode.  If disruptive to others the library reserves the right to ask you to turn off your cell phone or to take your phone call to an appropriate area.
