As an Shoreline Community College student, you can also borrow materials from libraries at other WA state community and technical colleges such as Edmonds, Everett, Bellevue, and the Seattle Community Colleges. Students from these institutions may use their ID cards to borrow items from the Ray W. Howard Library.
To check out books from a local public library, you will need to sign up for an account for that library. Getting a library card is free from public libraries. They will usually request that you show them a picture ID, a piece of mail to prove your address, and a signature from you.
This library serves the King County area. They will provide books, database access, and have events at their branch for those who live in Seattle, but those who live in King County are also able to download e-books.
If you live outside of the Sno-Isle Libraries District service area, but you live in a community in Washington State that financially supports a library of its own, you are eligible for a free Sno-Isle library card.
