As an Shoreline Community College student, you can also borrow materials from libraries at other WA state community and technical colleges such as Edmonds, Everett, Bellevue, and the Seattle Community Colleges. Students from these institutions may use their ID cards to borrow items from the Ray W. Howard Library.
To check out books from a local public library, you will need to sign up for an account for that library. Getting a library card is free from public libraries. They will usually request that you show them a picture ID, a piece of mail to prove your address, and a signature from you.
This website searches every library in the world at once. It can be useful for those trying to track down a specific title, but keep in mind that if you are not a member of the library that carries the item you want, you will need to request it through interlibrary loan.
Our library has a service called interlibrary loan. You can request a book or journal article from any library in Washington state or the rest of the country.
