Pax Americana

This is a term that refers to "international peace" that is overseen by America. It's a term that was widely used after World War II when the United States overcame Nazi forces. The term has also been used in reference to the UK and in that case is Pax Britannica. The term is Latin and translates literally to American peace or British peace, "after Pax Romana."
